Democracy In America: New Book By Plammoottil V. Cherian Is It in Peril? Offers Socio-Theological Reasons Why Democracies Fail or Are in Danger.
Democracy In America: Is It in Peril?
After fifty years of academic work in research and teaching, Plammoottil V. Cherian, a professor of life sciences, has completed his new book, Democracy In America: Is It in Peril?. It is a moving and thoughtful piece that looks at how the political system we have today ignores the checks and balances established by our forefathers.
Plammoottil V. Cherian
After earning his Ph.D. from Indiana State University and completing his postdoctoral training at the University of Democracy In America Pennsylvania, author Plammoottil V. Cherian joined the faculty at both the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor as a Research Scientist. Before he retired from Saginaw Valley State University, he worked full-time as a teacher because he was passionate about teaching and helping students gain in-depth knowledge about the complexities of life, from bacteria to behemoths and humans.
He was fascinated by the Theory of Evolution early in his career, but he rejected it after examining the intricate structure of cells, which are skillfully and beautifully designed to function in the complexities of life. He decided to look at Scripture to see if there was a connection between science and theology, and like Robert Boyle and Isaac Newton, he tries to connect cosmic and physiological phenomena with Scriptures, describing science and theology as the perfect pair of guiding forces in nature. He deciphers the deep mysteries of the Bible using scientific evidence that cannot be disproved to show how great God’s works are in this end-time to others.
He has composed a few books. His most recent books, written with prophetic insight, describe the perplexity and distress that nations are experiencing at the moment as well as the socio-theological reasons why democracies fail.
January 6, 2021
According to Democracy In America: Plammoottil V. Cherian, the author, this book was written following the infamous uprising on January 6, 2021, in our nation’s capital. He wrote this book from a different point of view, as opposed to journalists, politicians, commentators, and other authors who have written books about this terrible event that point to the seriousness of a coup attempt in our country from a political standpoint.
The entire book is made up of historical facts that were taken from the public domain and the news media. He also gives a biblical interpretation of the Bible’s prophetic verses, which he thinks are relevant to the current events in our country and around the world.
Even though there was no overthrow of the government, the insurrection had all the characteristics and premise of a coup d’état. It failed due to the strength of the United States Constitution, democracy, the goodness of the majority of Americans, and the American political system. However, the event that occurred on January 6, 2021, the darkest day in our nation’s modern history, demonstrated that democracy is extremely fragile, even with the most stringent constitution in the world.
